Page Connection Info Privacy Policy

Overview

Page Connection Info is a Chrome extension that displays network connection metadata for the current browser tab, including domain, IP:port, protocol, and request count.

Data Processed

The extension processes current tab URL, request URL metadata, domain or hostname, IP address and port, protocol information, request type, status, cache state, and error state to provide its core feature.

The extension does not read page content, form fields, cookies, credentials, personal communications, or files.

Local Storage

Connection records are stored locally in the browser using Chrome extension storage. Records are scoped by tab and can be cleared from the extension popup. Records are also removed when the tab closes.

Data Sharing

The extension does not send data to a developer-owned server.

For WS/WSS requests, Chrome may not expose the connected IP address. In that case, the extension sends the WebSocket hostname only to Google Public DNS over HTTPS (https://dns.google/resolve) to resolve A and AAAA records. This DNS fallback is used only to populate the IP:port field.

No page content, credentials, form data, or request bodies are sent by the extension.

Advertising and Tracking

The extension does not show ads, inject ads, sell user data, track users across websites, or use analytics.

Data Use

Connection metadata is used only to provide the extension's single purpose: displaying current-tab connection information to the user.
